Not Your Grandpa’s Jeans

By February 19, 2018 Fashion

The history of Jeans, a type of trouser made of denim, dates back to the days of cowboys and miners. The unique combination of industrial and modern fabric gave these pants longevity, but the various styles being popularized by the 70’s such as bellbottoms stamped it’s expiration date. The latest trend to spruce up your average denim is to add a personal touch with a patch, embroidery, sequins, or button. It’s all about customizing your style.

Adding metal to your denim amps up the toughness. The zipper and copper rivets that reinforce the pockets take you from grungy hippy to rugged explorer.

What screams “Millennial” more than emojis? Express yourself with emoji patches. The best thing is that they aren’t permanent. Emojis are the modern day mood ring; when your mood changes, your emoji changes.

Ahhhh, writing is the best therapy. Customize your jeans with words. Break out the marker and write your feelings in big bold letters.

Distressed jeans aren’t going out of style anytime soon. Get scissor happy and make it your own or buy them pre-distressed. Just try not to cut holes in your pockets.
