The 2018 USA Speed Skating Team utilizes technology to their advantage in this aerodynamic uniform designed by Under Amour. At the Olympics, harnessing creative engineering to gain a competitive edge is important and streamlined shapes are key.

The 2018 USA Snowboard Team turns space age with uniforms created by the Burton Snowboard company. The astronaut-like uniforms were inspired by the Unites States space program of the 1960’s and 70’s. The “spacesuit” has an iridescent silver shine courtesy of a lightweight aluminum-coated fabric. The American flag is patched on the arm and the Burton name displayed in a futuristic font resembles the NASA logo. A single horizontal stripe of red band the upper arm and pant.

Some sports teams, like The USA Figure Skating Team, aren’t required to have matching uniforms however, they have the luxury of choosing their own looks as long as they fall within the the rules of the International Skating Union. Whether it’s high-end (Vera Wang) or home-sewn (Mom made), these spectacular outfits are sure to bedazzle the crowd.
